"Love at Home"

Our "Love at Home" February RS Meeting, held Thursday February 18th, 2010 was an enjoyable evening for all who attended. We began early for sisters who wanted to make an I Spy bag for the children in their lives. The sisters participating brought the trinkets to go in the bags, Nancy and Kolleen provided the bags, photos of the trinkets, and the sewing. By the time we began the rest of the meeting, many of the sisters had cute handmade I Spy bags to take to their loved ones.


Susan taught an enlightening class about the Languages of Love, and provided surveys to help us understand ourselves and our family members and the way we express and accept expressions of love. She helped us see how each language of love is shown in the perfect love of the Savior, Jesus Christ.

Kim spoke on marriage and family life anchored in love and gospel principles. She discussed how a marriage is a covenant relationship and how an eternal perspective of this covenant relationship helps us to overcome stresses that creep into family life. Her comments and those of the sisters in attendence were easy to relate to and insightful.

No other treat could have beat the chocolate fountain Nancy brought for all to share. Look for announcements on our March RS birthday celebration, which will be a celebration of sisterhood!
